The Inspired Word Calligraphy is devoted to sharing God’s Word by presenting Old Testament and New Testament Scripture through calligraphy.
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” – Isaiah 55:11
All pieces displayed were hand-lettered and illustrated, without the aid of a computer. All calligraphy has been carefully reproduced using only quality materials with strict attention to detail.
My desire is to glorify God and His Word through my calligraphy. I came to know Jesus as my Savior and Lord when I was 11. The churches of which I have been a part faithfully taught the Bible and as I have read and studied it over the years, it has totally transformed my life. I am committed to sharing the timeless wisdom and beauty of God’s Word with everyone.
My passion for calligraphy started at a young age when a Sunday School teacher at my church did beautiful lettering for each week’s lesson. My interest continued to grow in middle school when my geography teacher also did beautiful lettering and wrote alphabets for me to practice, which prompted me to buy my first pen and ink set — and I have been hooked ever since! In the years following, I joined a guild and have studied under numerous calligraphers, taking a year-long intensive class and participating in several week-long conferences.
